The Carrington Effect is the project of Mike Campagna from Tennessee.

 

And like a powerful and unpredictable force, there’s no telling what The Carrington Effect will do.

 

"I love making music and I don’t conform to just one genre.  I have a sound or a melody or a tune in my head and I have to get it out as close to what it sounds like.  Whether that means a traditional band or a couple of modular synthesizers, so be it."

 

Mike is the vocals, guitar, bass guitar, drums, and the synthesizers behind the sound.  The lovely Yvette backs him up on vocals.

 

"Sometimes the instruments helps create that exploration.  I love traditional instruments but there is also something incredibly inspiring about modular synth.  You have an entire orchestra available at the push of a button and it's a wholly different creative process that I resonate with."
